This FHST is a fully functional fuel surge tank INSIDE the factory tank.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003chr\u003e\n\u003ch4\u003eHOW THE FUEL HANGER SURGE TANK WORKS\u003c\/h4\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe FHST contains a fuel pressure regulator, 2 pumps, and pre and post filters. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEven though both pumps are mounted inside the surge tank, the inlet of the lift pump is outside and transfers fuel from the open fuel tank into the FHST. Inside the surge tank, the lift pump outlet uses a reverse diffuser to control the stream, prevent overspray, and fuel foaming.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe surge tank pump is used to supply fuel to the engine through an integrated FPR (fuel pressure regulator). The surge tank pump is supplied with fuel from 3 different sources: the adjacent lift pump, the integrated FPR return, and three 355LPH one-way fill valves on the bottom of the surge tank that allows fuel in, but not out.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003chr\u003e\n\u003ch4\u003ePUMPS\u003c\/h4\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe FHST requires 2 fuel pumps (lift pump and surge tank pump).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor the lift pump, the factory Can-Am (155LPH) pump will suffice.
